This past week has been a big one for Caleb. His two top teeth finally poked through! Relief! He climbed the stairs at the Doyle house ALL BY HIMSELF! This was his first attempt at the stairs so Margaret, Caroline and I were really surprised how quick and easy it was for him. He also mastered his first word this week. "Dog". But it sounds more like "dow". He has seemed to say "dog" for some time but we weren't quite sure. Now it's official. Between all these milestones and Easter it has been a momentous week for Caleb!!

Easter in Wenatchee
We spent Easter in Wenatchee at the Fode house this year. It was Caleb's first! He enjoyed all the noise and chaos and visiting with relatives he rarely sees. Uncle Dean came over from Yakima. Nicole and Krystin were there, along with Krystin's new boyfriend Steve (he's a keeper!). Uncle Aaron was able to come over for one day before he had to head back to Oly to fight fires and save lives. Russ's parents, Patty and Roy, spent the day with us too. Sheila found some great bargains for Caleb during her Goodwill treks in the weeks leading up to our Easter visit- two new outdoor swings, a train table and a walker! Grandpa and Grandma's van was quite full on the ride home. We all ate WAY too much and had a great time! Missy did pretty well at poker and replenished the change bag for our next event with Kevin's side of the family. Grandma made the cutest and most delicious bunny cake. Caleb, Sheila, Grandma Judy, Missy and Emily went to watch Emily and Grandma Judy COSMIC bowl (this basically means the lights are OFF, the black lights are ON and the music is LOUD! Caleb and I loved it!) at the bowling alley Saturday morning. Grandma beat everyone!! Kevin, Grandpa Larry, Russ and Uncle Aaron went golfing at Highlander in Wenatchee while we bowled (or watched). Kevin had his best game ever and scored an 86... beating his dad and Russ!! Needless, to say he was pretty happy when he arrived back at the Fode house.

Welcome Baby Collins!
Our good friends, Scott and Jenn Collins, had their little girl last Thursday. Her name is Anna Elizabeth. Though her arrival was a bit scary both mom and baby are doing fine. And her dad is getting to be an expert at changing diapers! (and, yeah, my hair is the shortest it has ever been!)

Playdate with Addison
On Sunday we drove to Eatonville to hang out with Grammy and Poppy and have a playdate with Addi. Not that they play much yet. In fact, the first half of our "playdate" Addison was waking up and quiet and then by the time she was raring to go... it was time for Caleb to nap. So, he was getting crabby. Oh, well. The grownups had fun catching up!

Bath time!
Caleb loves taking a bath! As with the swimming he really likes to splash. He has also recently discovered his "boy parts". Funny! In the last picture he is showing off his silly face. He does this all the time now!

Caleb recently discovered how to crawl under his highchair at Grandpa and Grandma Rus's house. He just has a hard time figuring out how to get out!

Driving 'Big Blue'
We spent the last sunny weekend mulching the flower beds in our front yard. Thanks to Uncle Aaron we were able to haul 2 yards of bark at a time in his truck 'Big Blue'. Caleb was very helpful. The yard looks great!
