I'm raising a reader!!! Yes!!

Caleb was awfully quiet the other day. When I checked on him he had climbed up into the rocker in his room with his favorite book (Curious George). Being a reader myself, I just love that he is already a reader too!

Window markers

Margaret and Caroline got to come over and spend the day with us during their Christmas Break. Caleb got them window markers for Christmas... here they are trying the markers out and professing their undying love for Caleb!! Or is it "Belac"? It took a little while for them to figure out how to get the words to read the right way from outside... but they did it!

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve we headed to Grammy and Poppy's house in Eatonville. That night all three boys put out the reindeer food they had made (the red glitter they added made it look VERY delicious!) Seth had a giant blue bandaid across his chin from an earlier swinging accident. Always nice when mom wants to take a family picture. :)

The BIG boys took Barry's truck out to drive in the snow... somehow that was exciting for them. And the little boys each got to open one present. Caleb opened a giant dog from the Wemps... which he LOVES to snuggle! Ezra opened a stuffed ghost (which is seriously what he asked for - what a nut!) from the Stumphs. And Seth got K'nex.

We ended the evening with the the BIG boys THROWING the little boys off the coffee table onto a large stuffed gorrilla... isn't this the way everyone spends the night before Christmas? (Check out the look on Caleb's face as he flies through the air... priceless!)

Okay, okay so I am WAY behind. I have tons of pictures to post from Christmas, etc. I swear I'll get to it soon. I just gotta get on the laptop... that's where the pictures are stored right now.

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning Caleb woke the house at about 6:30. No one seemed to mind getting up early... especially when they saw all the gifts Santa had left under the tree (which, by the way, was an 18 footer out of Grammy and Poppy's front "yard" this year - YAY!!!). Caleb was overwhelmed and had to have help opening most of his gifts. Seth and Ezra opened "the biggest present ever"... a trip to Disneyland with their mom and dad AND Grammy, Poppy and Auntie Jamie too. Kelly had wrapped up a picture frame that said "Merry Christmas Seth and Ezra. You're going to Disneyland!" It had a picture of Cinderella's castle, the plane they were flying on down to Cali and of their really cool hotel room. Seth read it to Ezra. They also unwrapped Mickey pajamas and t-shirts with their names on them that said "My First Trip to Disneyland". They thought it was cool but didn't REALLY get it. Ezra said "This isn't the biggest present ever, mom. It's just a bunch of small presents in a REALLY big box!" That Ezra. :) Oh, and nice goggles brace face!!!
