Happy Halloween!
Caleb has been begging for a jack-o-lantern cookie from my "workshop" (as he calls my work). I finally got him one and let him eat half of it after breakfast! Happy Halloween monster face!

15 month checkup
In the last two months Eli has grown a 1/2 inch (he's 31 1/4 inches) and he now weighs 23 lbs. 9 oz. He's been walking for about two weeks now so Dr. Belko has no concerns about his health at all. In fact, he is strong and "advanced" for his age...just like Caleb always is!

Preschool creations
Caleb has been coming home from preschool every day with something new he has created. Here he is showing off a necklace and "hat" he made and wore for HOURS after school today.

Playdate with the Collins girls
This morning Jenn, Anna and baby Jessica came over to play. I wanted to take a picture of all of the kids together but that didn't quite work out. But I did get a cute one of Eli (15 months) and Jessica (approx. 3 months).

Fundraiser
Caleb's preschool is having a fundraiser to raise some money for their scholarship fund. I am especially attached to that scholarship fund since it helped us send Caleb to preschool last year when I wasn't working. So, he will be selling wreaths, cedar garland and centerpieces. This is his first experience with selling. He and Kevin worked out a whole spiel for when he talks to friends and family. Here it is: "Grammy, would you be interested of buying a wreath to support my school?" So cute...and effective! He's already sold 7 wreaths and the fundraiser doesn't officially begin until November 1st!!!

A beautiful day for a ride...
Caleb and Daddy went for a short ride around the block on daddy's "new" dual sport. Eli and I waited in the sun to get their picture when they got back home.

Lead us not into temptation...
So, tonight after reading Caleb's Bible we thanked God for sending Jesus down to Earth to rescue us. After our prayer I asked Caleb if he wanted to pray like Jesus taught his disciples to pray...that is, The Lord's Prayer. He said yes. I started and he repeated each line after me. I paused for a second...and he kept going!! "Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil." Awesome! Thanks to his daddy he knows the Lord's Prayer. I think maybe he can lead me tomorrow night. :)

New words
Eli is now saying"more" and "all done" and "up". His new word just today was "water". He said it when he saw some that he spilled on his chair. He signs "more" ALL the time but won't really do any other signs. We've been working on "all done" for months and he's only done it a few times (maybe three). Sometimes now he will repeat "all done" after I say it when we are finished with a meal. He is taking more and more steps each day. He is up to about 5 or 6 now.
