Caleb's First Birthday

Caleb's birthday party was a blast! It was busy as we had a TON of kids here. We set up the sandbox, slide, playhouse and train set in the garage (out of the rain... just in case). We also had bubbles and sidewalk chalk for outside. Caleb had a great time and did fine with all the chaos and noise. In fact, he was a happy boy all day. He got trucks, clothes, matchbox cars, bubbles, and toys. Grandma Judy made his cake. It was chocolate with white frosting and clowns on top. Caleb ate a cupcake and though he wasn't TOO messy, had to change his outfit when done. The rain held off from 2-4... a huge blessing. Auntie JJ and Uncle Rick came down from Lynden and Uncle Barry, Auntie Kelly, Seth and Ezra came for the weekend too. Grammy and Poppy and Grandma and Grandpa were there also. And Caleb had LOTS of friends to play with and watch in fascination. It's hard to believe he is one year old already. What a cliche but it is true!

Kevin's 33rd Birthday

Kevin celebrated his 33rd Earth Day Birthday yesterday. All he asked for was as a bicycle trailer so he could take Caleb for rides and a bicycle helmet for Caleb. He got them both and the boys went on their very first bike ride together yesterday. Happy Birthday Kevin!

Spring Break

We spent half of Spring Break in Moses Lake with Kelly, Barry, Seth and Ezra. We had a great time! We spent a lot of time outside... it was beautiful and warm. On Thursday evening we watched Seth soccer team practice... they are awesome! And then we watched Ezra's team play a game... they are hilarious! While Seth's team passes and really have the idea of the game, Ezra's team is just not there yet. They are more interested in running around with their buddies, petting dogs at the park and being silly than playing soccer! We went to a few parks (including the brand new Dream Park) and spent Saturday celebrating Barry's 30th birthday at Cascade Park. It was a perfect day for an outdoor birthday party. I actually got a little bit of a tan!!
