Last Day of School

Kevin finished up his school year today. He is relieved to be done and to get a chance to relax for a bit. He played 9 holes of golf out at Scott Lake with the teachers from North Thurston HS. He'll start teaching summer school when we return from our vacation to Sunriver on June 30th.

Eric Fode Graduates

Eric graduated from Wenatchee High School on Friday, June 13, 2008. He is off to college at Whitworth in Spokane. We drove over to Wenatchee for the weekend to go to the graduation and his graduation party. Caleb's favorite part of the weekend was playing in the Fode's huge yard and getting muddy. He played so hard that he looked exhausted pretty much the entire time we were there.

Celebrity Softball Game

Kevin, Aaron and I went to the 1st Annual Bobby Engram Celebrity Softball Game and Home Run Derby today at Bucknell Park in Lacey. The weather was cold and we waited in line FOREVER to get autographs. Eventually we were able to get a few autographs (during the game) from Marcus Trufant, Lofa Tatupu (he signed a blown up picture of our Christmas card which we framed) and a few other Seahawks players. Fueled with a few hot cocoas we were warm enough to stay through the homerun derby. Caleb went to Grandma and Grandpa Rus' house to spend the day.

Seth & Ezra

Caleb and mom spent the week of May 19th - 23rd in Moses Lake with Seth and Ezra. Kelly and Barry were on an At Home America cruise in Hawaii. The boys had a busy week! Ezra finished preschool and had his program. It's hard to believe that he will be off to Kindergarten in September! Seth's 7th birthday was on Thursday so we brought cupcakes to share with his classmates. Seth also had swimming lessons. He is trying to become a good swimmer so that he can go kayaking with his Uncle Kevin. Ezra has no interest in swimming at this point and is afraid that he will see an octopus if he were to go kayaking... even if they went in a lake!!! Caleb had a great time with his cousins. He played hard and slept well. He would call to Ezra if he was in the next room. "EHHH WAA!!!" Seth learned that if he put Caleb's green blanket on his lap then Caleb would come over and snuggle him. It was really sweet. Seth is very gentle with his baby cousin. We met Grammy at a park in South Hill on Friday evening and the boys went to Grammy and Poppy's until Kelly and Barry returned home on Sunday.
