Rick and Jamie's

We spent the weekend with Rick and Jamie. Caleb and Kevin went with Rick to a remote controlled airplane event. It was pretty cool. Caleb loved the planes. Kevin and Rick were just jealous. Rick wants to buys some new planes now. Kevin was just jealous they could keep them in the air and land them. He is still honing his flying skills. Caleb also got to go to Lynden's dream park and play in the stream. Auntie JJ (Jamie) and Missy got to do a little shoping and girl stuff, while the boys played. Pretty much the perfect weekend.

Swimming, losing your breath, and a birthday

We celebrated Seth's 8th birthday. It was quite an event. Seth had it at a gymnastics place in Moses Lake. The kids ran themselves ragged, jumping all over the place. Caleb didn't stop running for the hour and a half we were there. We tried to get pictures of him, but they were all just little blurs. He slept well that night. The Wemps also got a new pool. For some reason they decided to fill it with water that Kevin would swear was piped in directly from a Glacier. Of course Caleb and Seth and Ezra didn't know it was cold. They couldn't understand why Uncle Kevin could not breath when he first got in. Kevin, Seth and Ezra got to have a water baloon fight too. Kevin won, but got yelled at by the Mom's for being too awesome. Although they called it "being mean."
Missy got in on the action, but refused to get in the Glacial Spring.
Seth trying to figure out why Uncle Kevin can't breath.
The pool did have moments where it seemed warmer.
Seth taking the Nestea plunge, and showing off his super power of being impervious to unnaturally cold things.
Aunt Kelly stayed away from the "warm" pool too.

Caleb and his buddies

Caleb got a chance to hangout with his buddies Max and Wood. They had a great time blowing bubbles and riding the Kawasaki. Well, Max and Wood loved the motorcycle anyway. They all had a great time playing on the slides.

Missy's First Half Marathon

Part of the cheering crew... they look happy to just be here!!! Ready to run! Erin and I on mile #11... not sure how we are still smiling!

I ran my first half marathon today. It was a gorgeous, sunny spring day. I ran the race with my neighbor, Erin Clark, who was also my training partner when we could get the dads to watch the kids at the same time. We did well and felt great at the end. We finished it in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Yay! Thank you to our cheering sections on Friendly Grove, 22nd and Eskridge!

Caleb's THIRD 2nd Birthday party

Yes! A big wheel!!

And books... always a favorite!!
Showing off his new wheels... can't reach the pedals yet but scoots himself around just fine.
Caleb's third party was a quiet gathering with Grammy and Pop. We opened his presents and then went out to lunch at Anthony's Hearthside to celebrate Mother's Day.

Two Year Old Update

Caleb is talking A LOT now. He has a lot to say about everything these days. He is starting to use three word sentences and amazes us every day with a few new words. It seems that there is almost nothing he can't say these days. He loves to play with Wood and Max Clark (our neighbors across the street)and with Colin, Claire and Lola (the kids I nanny). He also loves to go over to Courtney and Brody's house to play. He goes swimming with Papa(Rus)at the Valley about twice per month and comes home to momma tired and happy. Caleb also enjoys spending the night with Grammy and Pop (Barnard) so he can be outside "working" all day with both of them. He REALLY likes to help his daddy fix things... anything, whether it needs to be fixed or not. He is already a boy that loves tools! And lucky for mommy he is an amazing sleeper (and often tells us when it is bed time) and will sometimes even ask Mommy to "snuggle" with him! He weighs 25 pounds, 2 ounces and is 34 inches tall. Dr. Belko, his pediatrician, told me that "He has a 3 year old brain in an 18 month old body."

Caleb's SECOND 2nd Birthday Paty!!

Caleb's "Wonderpets" cake

Nana really knows what Caleb likes... Wonderpets!!
A cake each for Caleb, Dylan, Aaron and Kevin.
Celebrating all of the boys' birthdays
Uncle T helping Caleb blow out the candles
Caleb's second party was at our house on Saturday evening. Nana, Papa, Uncle T, Dylan and Connie came over for dinner, cake (4 of them to be exact) and presents. Judy made a cake for Dylan (whose actual birthday is May 9th). She made cakes for Aaron and Kevin since she was too busy to do so at their birthdays during session. And of course, she made one for Caleb. Oh, man we ate SOOOO much cake for days!!! And it was delicious! Caleb got MY favorite present at this party... a gift certificate for closet organizers for his room so we can organize his many toys!!!!
