Big Boy Exersaucer

Caleb loves trying out all of Eli's toys. The exersaucer is often used as a boat. He'll either sit in it like Eli does or put a bunch of his stuffed animals in the bottom part...or both, as he was doing here.

Eli discovers Easter

Tonight I got out the Easter decorations. Eli and Caleb both enjoyed the colorful plastic eggs and the fuzzy bunny.

The Cracken

Caleb and daddy were pretending that Eli was the Cracken from Pirates of the Carribean as he was devouring pirates and upending the pirate ship they were trying to play with. He's quite cheerful for such a monster. Here Eli devours a pirate.

The Postier Farm...our weekend getaway to Belfair

Jacob and Stephanie invited us out to Jacob's parents farm to spend this weekend... along with the Bender 5 and the Edwards family. We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and each family had their own space. The kids played in the pool and had a great time outside (the weather was exceptionally nice for March!). The guys rode their dirt bikes and we all watched the church service online on Sunday morning together. Uncle T came out on Saturday to join the dudes on their ride. Courtney and Bella even rode the horse. Jacob Steph, Sherry and John on a little bike John & Sherry...still in love!!! The Edwards fam...minus Courtney Jane. Brody Jessie Courtney and Bella Me and Caleb Jewel Crazy Caleb! One, two ,three...jump! Caleb is surrounded by awesome guys!!! They like to play as much as he does! Kevin, Uncle T, Caleb and Jerad.

Good manners...

Today Margaret and Caroline came over to hang out since they had a half day of school. Caleb sat down with the girls to have lunch and said "Let's hear about your day girls." I love that he is making table conversation...Uncle Wusty and Auntie Wings will love it too!!!

New swimming gear

We are headed to Jacob's parents house this weekend and they have a pool! Caleb and I picked out some cool dive toys to take with us at 'Just Keep Swimming' today. Caleb had to try out his new toys and his goggles as soon as we got home.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Caleb told me all about the naughty leprechaun that was playing tricks at his preschool today. He also found gold dust ALL over his preschool room... so we knew exactly where that leprechaun had been. Mrs. Pharris was wearing 10 GREEN things and all the preschoolers wore their green to celebrate!

Caleb also REALLY took off with his reading today. He is reading the BOB books series and I cannot believe how well he is doing (he read me the first three books last night before bed)! He already seems to naturally just KNOW some of the words after he's seen them one time! This is gonna be fun! I love watching him learn to read. :)

Preschool Hat

Caleb loves making and then wearing his preschool hats. Here is another one he just made. I cannot remember why they made a gingerbread hat in March!

Caleb woke up this morning and made his bed without anyone asking him too. I am sure we are a long WAY from this being a daily occurrence but I was impressed! BTW, Happy Birthday to Uncle T!

Lazy Morning

We're having a lazy morning here at the Rus house. Eli's already taken his (SHORT as usual) morning nap and we're still not dressed. It's rainy and gross outside, so we're just gonna stay in our jammies until lunchtime!

Uncle T's new station

Play date with Dara & Addi

Today we were FINALLY able to get together to play with Dara and Addi. It is so hard to get together with young kids and babies keeping us busy. We met in Yelm at the McDonald's. Caleb and Addi had a great time...despite the fact that they didn't really remember each other.

Rick and Jamie went to the Lynden homeshow today specifically to meet Ciscoe!!

Great White Hunter

Viva Las Vegas!

Caleb and Eli received postcards in today's mail from Auntie JJ and Uncle Rick's trip to Vegas for Robbie's wedding. Caleb opened up the mailbox, took one look at the postcard and said "Wow! I really want to go to that place!" Oh, great. :( My 3 (almost 4!) year old loves Vegas!!
