BIRTHDAY BOY

Happy Birthday Eli! Eli turned one year old yesterday. We decided to have a low key party by having a BBQ with close family. Nana, Papa, Grammy, Poppy, Uncle Rick, Auntie JJ, Aunt Connie, Dylan, Yolan (Dylan's girlfriend), Uncle T and Sasha (Grammy & Poppy's new puppy) were all present. It was a beautiful evening to BBQ in the back yard. The shirt says it all, "BIRTHDAY BOY".

First Birthday Breakfast

One Year Update

Today Eli is one year old! He eats A LOT! And all the time! However, he mostly likes bread, crackers and fruit (though NOT oranges!). He won't really eat pasta, rice or tortillas. Thank goodness he likes to eat almond butter and jelly sandwiches with his big brother. He says mama and dada, but mostly dada. And he pretty much calls any man he sees "dada". :) Eli continues to be a more erratic sleeper than Caleb. He still naps twice a day and wakes up pretty early...around 6 most days. He wakes up talking and making noise and so often Caleb is getting up then too. He has his one year check up in a few weeks so we'll find out how much he weighs and how tall he is then.

Getting ready to head out for dinner at the Longview Yacht Club with Rick's parents, Dick and Jan. Wish I would have gotten a picture of Kevin's "outfit". For some reason when he heard we were having dinner at the Yacht Club he just HAD to dig out all his 70's attire. And, yes, he wore it to dinner, gorgeous leather jacket and all! Rick's mom, Jan, was not sure if that was his normal attire and so didn't say a word when she saw us!!! FUNNY!!!!
